through the screen

I have been experimenting with different perspectives and with different types of camera's. I decided one sunny day that I was going to shoot through the screen in my bedroom. I found the images to be interesting. I feel that I have grown quite a bit in the last year, especially with my photography and I will be sharing more frequently what I am doing. I am taking 3 photography courses this quarter; Color- where I will be shooting and developing color film. Social Documentary- where I will be confronting social issues. Alternative Camera- where I will be experimenting with different camera styles and creating/designing our own pinhole cameras. On top of that I am taking a life drawing course where I will be drawing from a live model.

Tomorrow I will set out with my newest camera a 1950s Argus Super 75! This will be my first time shooting medium format. Unfortunately I needed to convert 120 film onto a 620 reel before starting since 620 film was discontinued in 1995.

up to date

Well a little over a week ago I crashed my bike and ended up getting 14 stitches in my forehead. It has been pretty hectic in California. I lost my keys somewhere when I crashed my bike, so my dad ended up getting me a spare and shipped it out to me.

The past week we flew across the country to spend a week with Petes family in Ocean City Maryland! We had a great time and had lots of crab! It was very nice to get away, and I cant wait to be back in Ohio. Pete's sister ended up taking my stitches out during a game of scrabble. The family and I went out a couple times there was this bar called Secrets, it was huge and outdoors, there were 2 bands and tables out on the beach of the bay. Pete and I played with the kids all week and I got to meet some of his cousins from Minnesota.

Pete and I also started planning our return trip to Ohio. We are planning on going up North towards Seatle then taking 90 to 94 hitting Minnesota.

CALIFORNIA

The Long wait is over! Peter and I drove from Columbus OHIO to Los Angeles, we visited old friends and made new friends on our way. Peter stayed in Santa Monica with me for the first week and then moved to La Mirada with his new roomates! Santa Monica is a pretty hip area with very unique restaurants! Unfortunately I have yet to set up a bank account out here and almost everywhere is Cash Only. So anyway the plan for tomorrow is to work with the photographer that i moved to LA to work for, then to build my own bike... we will see how this works... considering my luck... probably wont work for cheap.. I dont have very much money so coming up with an inexpensive, yet quality bike will be very very difficult... :(

Pea pod for 3D Art

This is our final project for my 3D class at OSU. It had to be around 36 inches and made out of wood. It was a site inspired project, where we had to choose an area and design an object to fill in what was missing. I chose the pea pod because my peas have not yet sprouted.
